The New Antenna

I've been convinced that broadcasting companies need to consider Yahoo, YouTube, Facebook and all those other sites that people bookmark, right down to tiny sites like this blog, as the new antenna.

According an article in the Wall Street Jornal, mass media owners are putting their money behind that idea. News Corp. bought MySpace, and now CBS is, according to the WSJ article, is interested in buying Bebo.

The article also cites comScore as saying MySpace had 109 million unique visitors in January, compared to Bebo's 22 million. Big numbers by anyone's account.
